Debt Relief Program

A Debt Relief Program for Debbie the Dolphin

This is the story of Debbie the Dolphin. Debbie was a dolphin who was deep in debt, and she was down in the dumps because of it. But she remembered her uncle Dolphin Don talking about when he was in debt. It seemed to her that he was able to do something about it.

With renewed hope, Debbie hopped on her Stingray and cruised on over to Dolphin Don's. Don told her that the debt relief program he chose was credit card debt consolidation. He told her that it really wasn't much different from any other type of debt consolidation program in that someone from a debt consolidation company went over his finances with him, then contacted his creditors to score major reductions in balance and interest rates. Then he made one monthly payment to the debt consolidation company instead of sending a lot of checks to his creditors each month. He saved money in interest, but also in checks! And five years later, he was debt free!

Don further explained to Debbie that there was more than one kind of debt relief program out there. He said, "If you're looking for a Christian debt relief program, you can find that. If you need a student loan debt relief program, that's available too. Even people with bad credit can get help through a bad credit debt relief program. And besides all those, there are debt consolidation loans, debt consolidation mortgages and debt settlement plans."

"Wow!" Debbie said. "But how do I know which one to choose?"

"That's easy!" Don said. "All you have to do is find a reliable debt management company. Your creditors should be able to tell you which ones are the best. Then a debt management professional will go over your finances with you, just like they did with me, to find out which debt relief program is best for you."

"But I'm too embarrassed to call my creditors. What if they are mean to me?"

"Then just look for a debt management company on the Internet. You can search on the term "debt management company" or even "debt relief program" to narrow it down even more. But you'll get lots of results. It might freak you out. So here's what you do: Most of these companies have these forms on their web sites that you can complete and submit to give their professional debt manager an idea of your financial situation. Do this for a lot of companies. It's okay because you're not obligated to them. Then within 24 hours, you'll get quotes from them that you can compare before choosing one."

"But how will I know if they're reliable and trustworthy?" Debbie asked.

"Just make sure the companies you are most interested in are nationally certified and accredited, make sure they have a physical street address, not just a post office box, make sure your creditors are willing to work with them and make sure they are ready and willing to answer any questions you have. I'll help you if you want me to."

"Thanks Uncle Don!" she exclaimed. And with that, she hopped back on her Stingray and headed home.
